You can then make your decision from here.
In other cases, you may just fall in love with a brass model and want to add it your collection. If you are creating a collection for this reason then you should just buy what you really like. There is really nothing more to it. If this is what you are interested in doing, then you have many years for the collection to grow in value. You many also want to run the trains around your railway track.
Different collectors have different reasons for buying trains. Some are purely wanting to create an investment and build their collection. There are others that want to run the model trains and create a great railroad network in their spare room.
Decide which group your fall into and what your aims and objectives are within the great hobby. From here you can decide if the train is worth the money in the long and short term.
